Useful reports for analysis of end of KS2 SAT's data

These reports require that the KS2 SAT data for the children has been entered either onto the Tracking Data sheet or into the KS2 Wizard, which updates the Tracking Data sheet.

If raw scores have been entered via the KS2 Wizard, you must ensure that the update to the PTT software, made available from the Target Tracker website when it is released in the summer term, is installed. This updates the Threshold Tables and in turn will update the third of level data on the Tracking data sheet. Please see the Support Article - Entering Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 SAT test data into Primary Target Tracker for guidance on using the Wizard and updating the data once the new Threshold Tables are released.

Making Good Progress reports

From Reports – Making Good Progress – choose subject. Click to display Current Year data then click to show Sub levels Above / Below expected progress.

This report will show the children, colour coded as to whether their progress in KS2 was slow, expected or good. The report also shows by how many sub levels the child missed or exceeded their Y6 target.

Year 6 SAT's Y/N report

Reports on the Y6 SAT's results for English and Maths. The report shows the English and Maths SAT result as a flat level. It also shows the percentage of children achieving a Level 4+ in English, in Maths and also in both subjects.   It also reports on those children who have achieved 2 levels progress in English, and also in Maths. In this instance 2 Levels progress mean 2 flat levels so for example – 2B or 2A to 4C equals 2 Levels progress even though it is not 12 points progress.

Year 6 Stick People

This report shows pupils achieving level 4 or above. It also shows pupils achieving level 3. It then breaks these L3 children down into -

Stuck = Level 3 (A, B or C) at Yr 2 TA and level 3 (A, B or C) at Yr 6 SAT.

Falling behind = Level 2.7 or 2.3 at Yr 2 TA and level 3 (A, B or C) at Yr 6 SAT.

Slow moving = Level 2.0 at Yr 2 TA and level 3 (A, B or C) at Yr 6 SAT.

Making good progress = Level 1.7 or lower at Yr 2 TA and level 3 (A, B or C) at Yr 6 SAT.

It also shows pupils who were Absent, Disapplied or for whom there is no KS1 level recorded in the file

It also shows pupils achieving level 2 or below

Pupils Absent refers to any missing data in the year 6 SAT columns and does not necessarily indicate that a pupil was absent for the SATs
