The Development Matters reports show DM achievements that have been entered into the software using the EYFS Planner.
All reports can easily be exported to use in other software by clicking on the Export tab at the top of the screen and choosing Word, PDF, Web Page or Image.
From the Home page click on DM Reports
Development Matters Pre-School Tracking Summary
The normal DM Tracking Grid only displays detailed progression data for children of Nursery age or older. As the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum is designed to support children from birth, this report displays DM achievements for children prior to Nursery age.
Depending on the birth date and entry date of the child, assessments will appear in the appropriate half term periods of the report. Clicking on the total figure will display a breakdown of the achievements within each month range of the Development Matters statements.
Development Matters Group Completion Summary
This report is a useful way of analysing achievement across the curriculum. As there is such a wide variance in numbers of DM statements through all the assessment scales the report displays the number, or the percentage, of pupils achieving the chosen percentage achievement. Initially this is set to 100% but this may be altered using the Percentage box at the top of the report.
It is also possible to see a breakdown of the areas of learning by clicking the Expand Subject Groups box. The report will then show the achievement for all 13 assessment scales.
Having seen that, for example, 2 pupils had achieved 16% of the 30-50 month DM's in PSED it is then possible to see which pupils they are by clicking the Pupil Names radio button.
Finally, it is also possible to look at the report for previous time periods using the Period selection option at the top of the report.
Development Matters Average Percentage Completion
This report displays the average percentage completion for all of the DM statements in each age range for each of the 13 Areas of Learning. Clicking on any block of colour will display the number of statements in this age range for this area of learning and a pupil level breakdown of achievement i.e. the percentage of pupils who have achieved up to 25% of the statements, the percentage who have achieved between 26% and 50%, the percentage who have achieved between 51% and 75% and the percentage who have achieved between 76% and 100% of the statements. This screen also shows the average % completion and the range i.e. the minimum % completion and the maximum % completion.
Development Matters Pupil Summary
This report shows the achievement of individual children in DM statements. The default colours are blue for achieved statements and red for working towards statements. The colours can be changed to show the term in which the statement was achieved by clicking Terms. The actual words of the statements can also be added to the report by clicking Statements.
Development Matters Group Summary
This report allows the teacher to see at a glance the percentage or number of children in the group who have achieved, are working towards and who have not started each statement, in the chosen Area of Learning. Clicking on the block of colour will display the statement and the actual children's names who have achieved, are working towards or who have not begun.
Development Matters Progress Between Terms
This report allows progress within each month range to be measured, either as a summary view for all subjects, or as a pupil view for individual subjects. Choose the Start and End periods from the drop down lists. In the Summary view hovering the mouse over the blocks of colour will show the % of the statements, for this area of learning and this month range, that were achieved up to the end of the start period in dark blue and the end of the end period in light blue. In the Pupil view it will show the number and percentage of the statements that each child achieved in each month range for one area of learning. The Month Ranges can be filtered down by unticking the boxes to just those you want to see.
Development Matters Attainment
The DM Attainment report shows the level of attainment within each month range for the current term, or your own choice of term chosen from the drop down list. Its purpose is to give a good indication of where the pupils are currently working. The data can be viewed showing the percentage of statements achieved by each child, in each month range. The default is to view the data by area of learning but the view can also be shown by Month Range. Click on the Month range button and chose from the drop down list of ranges. The data is shown for PSE, CLL, PRN, KUW, PHY and CRE. Again, it is possible to add the % achieved to this view. The cells of the report are colour coded and a key to explain the colours is shown at the bottom of the report.
