The Parent Report in Early Years Foundation Stage Target Tracker

Early Years Foundation Stage Target Tracker can produce a Parent Report for each child that is exportable to Microsoft Word. This means that the report can be edited as required.

The report has many customisable aspects and can also include a school logo, a pupil photo and other photographic evidence and comments that have been added in the EYFS Planner.

For photos to appear in the Parent Report they must have been 'Tagged for Parents' in the Evidence Bank and attached to either an Achieved or a Working Towards statement in the EYFS Planner. For comments to appear in the report they must have been created as Parent Report Comments in the EYFS Planner. For more guidance on these aspects please use the Support Article - Adding evidence such as multimedia files and comments to Early Years Foundation Stage Target Tracker files

Load EYFSTT and open your file

Select Reports and click on Parents Report

Choose a pupil from the drop down list

This will produce a basic report showing a default of the highest 2 Foundation Stage Profile Achieved points and 2 FSP Working Towards statements if available, and the highest 2 Development Matters Achieved points and 2 Working Towards statements, if these are available from the EYFSP Planner.

This is a basic report but there are many ways the reports can be customised.

Click on Report Settings

When the report is finished click on Export where you are given the option of creating a Word document, a PDF, a Web page or an Image, then after choosing the option you require there is another option, choose from creating the report just for the selected pupil, for a filtered group or the whole cohort. By default the reports will exported to My Docs / Target Tracker / EYFS / and saved in a folder called Reports where they can then be edited as required. You can choose your own preferred location to save the reports if required.
