An overview of the Progress Reports available in Termly Tracker
This Support Article contains details of each Progress Report available from Termly Tracker.

Progress Statistics

This report details the average amount of progress per term for various groups of children including gender, SEN and EAL. The average progression is calculated in tenths of one level, and the cells are colour coded as to whether the progress is below, on or above the expected for the term.
The accuracy of the contents of the groups depends upon the correct contextual information being input into Primary Target Tracker for Gender, SEN, G&T, EAL, LAC and FSM.

Progress Between Periods

The Progress Between Periods report allows you to choose to display progress between your own chosen 2 periods. The default periods that are displayed initially are the end of the previous year as the start, and the current term as the finish period.

To change the periods use the Setup Options button, the periods available to choose are displayed. Only periods for which there is data in the file will be enabled in the From options and the periods enabled in the To options will be those with data, which is later than the chosen From period.

Show Levels & Ave Pts / Show Levels 2 Pt Scale

This report can be displayed using either the Average Points Scale or the 2 Point Scale where each third of a level represents 2 points by clicking the button above the Setup Options button.

The advantage of using the 2 Point Scale to show progress is if you have children who have achieved a 1A or a 3A in any subject which the 2 point scale will show as 11 or 23 points but the Average Points Scale will only show as 9 or 21 points. This may have a positive impact on your Ave Pts Increase data.

See the Conversion table in the Help menu - Tables in the Primary Target Tracker program for an overview of the Average Points and the 2 Point Scale.

The Averages section of the report is showing an average of Reading , Writing and Maths in KS1 and an average of English (Reading + Writing divided by 2) + Maths + Science divided by 3 in KS2, and can be displayed as Average Points or 2 Point Scale.

The reports on Reading, Writing, Maths and Science displayed at the top of the Progress Between Periods report show the number and percentage of children at each level in the later of the 2 selected periods. It also shows the percentage of the cohort or group who are at each level or higher.

The reports can be expanded to show third of level data by ticking the Show Expanded Summaries tick box. From this view it is also possible to add the age-related colours which then allows you to identify the children on track for a secure Level 4 in Y6 in the white cells, the more able group in the green cells, the targeted group in the pale pink cells and the lower attainers in the deeper pink cells.

Visual Progress Overview
This report is available for each subject. The default report shows the progress each child has made from Entry Level to the current year, colour coded for each year. The default report is using Teacher Assessment levels. The current level for each child is shown as a black dot in the cell. The back arrow indicates where a child has regressed.
There are various ways the report can be changed by ticking the boxes at the top of the screen
Show Targets - displays the targets for each year in a shaded row above each child's results.
Show Test Levels - Uses Test results instead of Teacher Assessment
Show Terms - adds the terms each level was reached
Show Age-Related - adds the colour bands for the year group loaded to the top of the report
Sort by Attainment - Reorders the children by their current attainment, lowest attainer at the top
Sort Above/Below Target - Reorders the children by the number of sub levels they currently are from reaching their end of year target.

View Pupil Layout
This allows all of the data for one pupil for all of the subjects to be viewed. Select the child to view by clicking on their name when in the group view, then click View Pupil Layout. Other children can then be viewed by clicking the drop down list or using the Previous and Next buttons.

Points Progress Table

The first section of the report shows the number of points progress made by each pupil in each year (Reception to Y6) in either Average Points or the 2 Point Scale. It uses the Teacher Assessment data from Termly Tracker. The file needs to have data entered into the Entry level Assessment (ELA) columns in PTT to be able to display the progress data for Reception.

The second section of the report shows the number of points progress made between various time periods e.g. ELA to end of KS1, Reception to end of KS1 and KS1 to now. This data can also be viewed as Average Points or the 2 Point Scale.

The report also shows the Projected KS1 to the end of KS2 points. This data is calculated from the TAY2 data in Termly Tracker and the Target Y6 columns in PTT.

The data in the Actual column is calculated from the TAY2 data in Termly Tracker and the SAT Y6 columns in PTT. The Difference columns shows the difference between the Projected and the Actual data. This allows the accuracy of target setting in the school to be assessed.
