If the school subscribes to Early Years Foundation Stage Target Tracker (EYFSTT) the ELA columns in Primary Target Tracker will be populated with data calculated from each child's ELA assessment, when the EYFSTT file is upgraded into PTT at the start of Y1.

 

If the school is not an EYFSTT subscriber but wishes to enter this data manually it is possible to type into the ELA columns on the Tracking data sheet. But it will be necessary for the school to make a judgement on what decimal value to type into the cells. You may find it useful to view the Conversion Table in the Help menu - Tables in Primary Target Tracker for the conversion from FSP points to National Curriculum levels.

 

Altenatively if the school is not a subscriber to EYFSTT and wishes to add both ELA and end Reception data to their Y1 file use the following instructions.

 

Because Target Tracker uses a complex formula when converting EYFSP achievement into National Curriculum levels, we provide you with a way of doing this easily using the FSP Summary report which can be found in the Reports menu.

 

However because this report is intended for populating the Reception columns of the Tracking data sheet, using the children's end of year EYFSP scores, it is necessary to do a few extra steps if wanting to use it for ELA scores. It is also essential that this is done before any data is entered into the Reception columns, as the process that follows will overwrite this data.

 

Use the following instructions if the FSP Summary report is to be used for calculating Entry Level Assessment.

 

From the Reports menu click on the FSP Summary report and open the Quick Planner.

The entry level EYFSP data can be entered into the Quick Planner by typing into the total column, or ticking the actual EYFSP statements the children achieved at entry level.  When all data is added click on Update and Close and then on the button with red text- Update Reception Tracking Data. This will feed the data back to the Reception columns on the Tracking Data sheet. From here it can be simply copied and pasted from the Reception columns to the ELA columns. Only ever use copy and paste, never use cut and paste as this can upset the fomulae in the spreadsheet. Having copied the data from Rec to the ELA column it can then be removed from the Rec column by highlighting the data and pressing the delete key on the keyboard.

 

The FSP Summary report can then be used as intended for entering the end of Reception data which will feed back into the Reception columns.
