You may wish to create a file to return the end of KS2 data to the Local Authority from Primary Target Tracker
It is essential that you have entered the children's summer term Teacher Assessments into Termly Tracker and have checked that this data has saved back to the tracking data columns in Primary Target Tracker, or alternatively you have entered the data into the Yr6 TA columns in PTT, if your school does not use Termly Tracker. You need to have entered data for Speaking and Listening, Reading, Writing, Maths and Science.
You should then use the KS2 Data Entry Wizard. The Wizard is found in the File menu – Key Stage Data – KS2 Wizard. (Office 2007 users have a KS Wizards button on the menu bar at the top of the screen)
It is necessary to use the Key Stage Wizard because not all of the data you have to return is recorded on the Tracking Data sheet - for example, the Tracking Data has an overall level for maths and for science but you are required to return data on all 4 attainment targets for each subject.
You are also required to return P scale data for children working towards Level 1. Boxes will appear in the Wizard beside any children who this applies to. Click the i information buttons for more help with this aspect.
Having completed all of the By Pupil (Mandatory Data) you will see a message box at the bottom of the screen informing -All required data is present. Save and Close the Wizard
You should also check that your school's File Information (LA / DfE numbers) have been completed, this is also accessed from the File menu – File Info / Data Locations
Lastly, you must also ensure that every child in the file has the following contextual data entered - UPN, Surname, Forename, Date of Birth and a Gender code (M or F)
**The file must now be saved before attempting to create the CTF**
Next click on File – Output Files – KS2 to LA Data Return
If you encounter any error messages at the stage please view the Support Article -
Issues that can occur whilst making the KS1 or KS2 data returns for Local Authority or the NAA
If no errors are found the XML Processor will load and will create a file named appropriately to be returned by whatever method you have been instructed, by your LA, to use. Do not rename the file.
You will be given the option of saving the file to another location, if required click Yes, if not click No. The files are saved by default to C:\Program Files\TT\XML\Data
Click OK to message indicating Processing Completed Successfully then click Exit to close the XML Processor
