At the end of the Reception year you may wish to convert your Early Years Foundation Stage Target Tracker file to a Primary Target Tracker file to begin using in Year 1.

 

Load your Reception file into Early Years Foundation Stage Target Tracker

 

Select the Reception year group (or the Year 1 group if doing this process in September)

 

Click on the green icon which loads the File menu from the top left corner of the screen

 

Select Export – then select Primary TT

 

A message box will display asking if you wish the software to calculate targets based on the EYFSP scores for each pupil. Click Yes or No as desired.

 

The XML Processor loads and when completed will display a Save In box. Browse to the location you wish the new PTT file to be saved in and enter an appropriate file name for the file as a Year 1 file and click on Save.

 

You are also given the option to choose another location to save the file e.g. a memory stick (if you need to take the file to another PC) Click Yes or No as desired.

 

Click OK and Exit to close the XML Processor

 

The new file can then be loaded into PTT and will contain data in the Entry Level Assessment (ELA) & Reception (Rec) columns, and targets up to Yr 6, if you chose to allow this option.

 

If you chose not to bring the FSP data across to the Tracking Data sheet you will still be able to view the pupils' FSP results by going to Reports – FSP Summary in PTT
