Storing Primary Target Tracker files on a server or network

Target Tracker software is not supported as a network installation. We recommend that the software is installed onto all computers from where you wish to access the program. The program installs by default onto the C (local) drive.

However, it is possible to access your Target Tracker data files from a network location.

The chosen network drive must be mapped to a letter. If you need help to do this see the Support Article - Mapping network drives

Create a folder on the network drive called, for example, Target Tracker then create a folder within this folder called, for example, Target Tracker Data and copy your Target Tracker files into this data folder.

Then follow the notes in the Support Article- Using Primary Target Tracker files from a server or network location

When accessing PTT data files from a network location, care must be taken not to have the same file open in more than one location. If changes are made to multiple copies of the same file some data will be lost when closing and saving files.
